The packing and posting of ‘Total Support’

I have just packed up and posted a new wall based sculpture titled ‘Total Support’ to Arts at the Old fire Station in Oxford. ‘Total Support’ will be part of ‘Shed Space’ and will be on display from 20 May – 2 July 2016

“Shed Space is a group exhibition installation exploring the notion of the shed as a making space. The shed has been integral to the creative making process throughout history. Examples of those working out of their shed include Harley and Davidson, Hewlett-Packard, Walt Disney, Charles Dickens, Roald Dahl, William Blake, Henry Moore and Tracy Emin. In recent times, the shed has smartened up and undergone a social transformation to become an office, a studio or simply a place to think”.

“Central to the exhibition will be the garden shed built within the Old Fire Station main gallery. Complete with an environmentally sustainable living roof, it will be a sculptural element and a backdrop for visiting artists to use for creative workshops, demonstrations and events”.

As part of the 2-day Meet the Artist residencies I will be weaving in situ somewhere in the gallery on Friday 24 June & Saturday 25 June 2016, 11am – 6pm. I am also leading a two hour workshop on Saturday 25 June 2016, 1pm – 3pm.
